Each region has its own season. We move the fleet with the wind, so there is always open water somewhere on the island.

Sri Lanka has two monsoons, one for each coast. When the south-west monsoon closes Mirissa from May, the north-east trades open Trincomalee and the east coast. Sail Lanka operates both, with the same vessels and crew crossing between them each season.
The result is twelve months of open water. No dead season and no substitute routes, just the same standard of voyage in different water, on a different coast.
Every Sail Lanka voyage is tailored to you. Share your destination, travel companions, and preferred experience, and we'll craft a journey that's uniquely yours.
