Our tiered cancellation fee structure based on the notice period provided prior to departure.
Cancellation Notice
All requests to cancel or amend a booking must be submitted to our reservations team in writing. Cancellation fees are calculated based strictly on the number of days before the scheduled departure date on which written notice is officially acknowledged by our team:
- 90+ days25% of the deposit non-refundable
- 60 – 89 days50% of the full charter rate non-refundable
- 30 – 59 days75% of the full charter rate non-refundable
- Under 30 days100% of the full charter rate — no refund
- No-show100% — no refund rights, no credit toward a future booking
- Peak period15 Dec – 10 Jan: 100% in all cases, except cancellations initiated by us due to weather or minimum passenger numbers
Refund Processing
Where a refund is due according to the tiers above, the processing time generally requires several business days to clear through international banking gateways. Refunds are strictly issued back to the original method of payment.

What happens if we are forced to delay or cancel your voyage for safety or operational reasons.
Weather & Safety Protocols
The ocean is an unpredictable environment. Sailings may be postponed, rerouted, or cancelled entirely due to adverse weather conditions, rough seas, or technical safety concerns. This decision is determined solely by the captain, in consultation with Sri Lanka Navy and Coast Guard reports. In such cases, guests will be proactively offered a reschedule to a mutually agreed date or a full refund of amounts paid. No additional compensation for travel or accommodation expenses is payable.
Minimum Passenger Numbers
Certain shared experience departures require a baseline minimum number of passengers to successfully operate, as clearly stated at the time of booking. If these minimum numbers are not reached, we will contact you in advance to offer an alternative vessel, a different schedule, or a reschedule. Where a guest is wholly unable to reschedule and provides documentary evidence of their inflexibility (e.g., departing flight tickets), a full refund will be issued.

Unavoidable Guest Emergencies
In the event of a severe force majeure circumstance directly affecting the guest prior to travel — including unexpected death in the immediate family, serious unexpected illness, or serious accident — we may, entirely at our operational discretion, allow amounts paid to be securely credited toward a future booking rather than strictly applying the cancellation fee tiers.
Credit Terms
Any such compassionate credit granted is valid for exactly 12 months from the original scheduled departure date. This credit is strictly tied to the guest, is not transferable to third parties, and is not redeemable for cash. Official documentary evidence (such as medical certificates) will be unconditionally required to process these exceptions.
