Sail one of Sri Lanka's most beautiful stretches of coastline, where secluded coves, golden beaches and coral-fringed waters reveal themselves slowly from the sea. Beginning in Mawella and ending in Mirissa, this one-night voyage invites you to experience the southern coast as travellers once did: guided by the wind, moving at the rhythm of the ocean, and discovering hidden corners rarely seen from land. Whether swimming in quiet bays, paddleboarding at sunset, enjoying fresh seafood under the stars or simply watching the coastline drift by, this journey is designed to reconnect you with the sea and with each other.
Long before roads connected Sri Lanka's southern coast, people arrived by sea.
Fishing communities, spice traders, sailors and explorers followed these waters for centuries, moving between natural harbours and sheltered anchorages shaped by the monsoon winds.
Today, little has changed from the ocean's perspective.
The coastline unfolds one bay at a time. Palm-fringed beaches appear and disappear. Fishing boats return home at dusk. Life continues at a gentler pace.
This is a voyage designed not around schedules, but around the simple pleasure of being at sea.
