A two-night voyage through the heart of Sri Lanka's southern coastline, following a shore once connected to the world by cinnamon, trade and the monsoon winds. Sailing from Mawella to Galle, this journey combines secluded bays, marine adventures, historic coastal communities and life aboard a private yacht. It is the most complete way to experience Sri Lanka's southern seascape: slowly, intentionally and from the water.
For centuries Sri Lanka's southern coastline was one of the world's most valuable maritime corridors.
Arab traders, Portuguese navigators, Dutch merchants and British ships all passed through these waters in search of spices, gemstones and opportunity.
Today the pace is slower.
Fishing boats leave harbour at dawn. Sea turtles glide through warm waters. Palm-fringed beaches stretch towards the horizon.
The Cinnamon Coast Passage invites you to experience this remarkable shoreline over two leisurely days at sea, discovering hidden bays, marine life and coastal stories along the way.

Voyage programme
01Day 01
Board in Mawella and begin sailing westward along the southern coast. Stop for swimming, paddleboarding and relaxation throughout the afternoon. Anchor overnight in a sheltered bay near Nilwella. Dinner and overnight onboard.
02Day 02
Continue towards Mirissa. Enjoy a full day at sea exploring the coastline, marine activities and life onboard. Anchor near Weligama or Unawatuna depending on conditions. Dinner and overnight onboard.
03Day 03
Continue towards Galle. Arrive beneath the historic ramparts of Galle Fort and experience one of Sri Lanka's most iconic landmarks from the sea. Disembark in Galle.
