Merchant vessels, explorers and trading ships first encountered the island's southern coastline before continuing north towards Colombo and the wider world beyond.
Today, this route offers a unique perspective on the changing face of Sri Lanka.
Beginning beneath the ramparts of UNESCO-listed Galle Fort, the voyage follows the western coastline northward, passing fishing communities, beaches and coastal landscapes before the towers of Colombo gradually emerge on the horizon.
The contrast is striking.
One moment, centuries-old fortifications stand watch over the sea. The next, modern Colombo rises ahead, vibrant, ambitious and connected to the world.

Voyage programme
01Day 01
Board in Galle and settle into life onboard. Sail north along Sri Lanka's western coastline, enjoying swimming, paddleboarding and relaxation at sea. Anchor overnight in a sheltered location along the coast. Dinner and overnight onboard.
02Day 02
Enjoy breakfast onboard before continuing north towards Colombo. Watch the skyline gradually emerge from the horizon as the yacht approaches the city. Arrive in Colombo and disembark.
